Submit as a fillable PDF — the city explicitly says photographs of forms are not acceptable.

The city's stated standard: 'a well-drawn and properly dimensioned floor plan will speed up the application review process.' Specific items come back on the city's plan examination report after review.

Single-family homes only: you must own the home, live (or will live) there, and do the work yourself.

Beaumont contracts trade permits and inspections to a private accredited agency; those applications go to the agency, not the city.

How to apply
Email the fillable PDF to development@beaumont.ab.ca or drop off at 5600 – 49 Street. A development permit is only needed if the space is for rental income or commercial use. Book every inspection yourself with at least 72 hours notice — building/framing with the city, trades with The Inspections Group.
