Walls, room sizes and uses, measurements, window sizes and locations, doorways. The city's own words: it does not have to be to scale and 'a hand drawing will be accepted.'

Stated on the application form, for the areas being finished.

Fire safety plan — only if construction value is over $5,000
An evacuation plan plus protection of adjacent properties.

Electrical, plumbing, and gas permits — only if that work is happening
Electrical for any wiring; plumbing and gas only if relocating or adding fixtures, outlets, or appliances. Apply together with the building permit or after.

How to apply
Apply in person at Planning & Development Services, City Hall lower level (10005 102 Street), or by email to fortplanning@fortsask.ca. Work must start within 90 days of issuance; the permit is valid one year, and only one extension is allowed.
