Residential Alteration Application (the city's Residential Alterations Package)
Check Basement as the work item, give the square footage, and detail any plumbing, electrical, or gas work.

Floor plan
Room dimensions, cold air return, CO and smoke detectors, electrical panel location, bedroom window sizes, bathroom exhaust outlet, hallway finish width minimum 34 inches, service room door minimum 32 inches. The city publishes its own basement floor plan example.

Subtrade permits (plumbing / electrical / gas) — for any applicable proposed work

How to apply
Complete the city's Residential Alteration Application — one application covers all the required permits (permits contact: devpermits@cityofgp.com). Once a complete application is received, all permits are issued within 2-5 business days.
